I've been teaching since 2011, and these days I'm an international teacher — a US expat who found a home in the classroom. I teach English 9 and IB Diploma English.

I love close reading and the conversations a good text can start. I believe mistakes are necessary to learn, that the best thinking often happens in the margins, and that a handwritten note means something. (Also: please don't dog-ear the pages.)

When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me with a book, a Coke Zero, and Taylor Swift on repeat.
